1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser, for example to keep a session open. This page also covers other storage or device-access technologies that, without being cookies in the strict sense, serve a similar purpose and are subject to the same article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE: the browser's local storage (localStorage), the browser's session storage (sessionStorage), which is deleted when the tab is closed, and the installable app's cache.
2. Which cookies and similar technologies this site uses
This site does not use advertising, profiling or third-party analytics cookies. There are no social media tags or third-party measurement platform tags such as Google Analytics, Meta or similar.
The first-party counter uses no cookies. The website counts visits with its own counter, hosted on the same server as the website, in France, and maintained by the firm's IT manager. The counter installs no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and sends no data to third parties. From your browser it checks the window width (to tell a mobile, tablet or computer apart) and whether it sends the “Do Not Track” signal; from the page you are viewing it takes the path, the title, the referring site and the campaign tags in the address. To count the visit it calculates on the server an identifier from your IP address and browser details, irreversibly transformed with a key that is replaced every day and not kept: your IP address is not stored and the next day the identifier can no longer be recalculated. The page viewed, the buttons pressed, where the visit came from, the device type and that identifier are stored for 425 days; the counter does not store your location. If you contact the firm, the visit identifier may be linked to your record, as explained in the privacy policy. If your browser sends the “Do Not Track” signal or Global Privacy Control, the counter measures nothing. As the counter neither stores nor reads information stored on your device, it is not subject to consent under article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE. The details of what is stored, why and for how long are in the privacy policy.
A second statistics tool, also with no cookies. Alongside the first-party counter, the website uses an open-source tool installed on a server administered by the firm's IT manager (OVHcloud, Strasbourg, France); it is not a service of Google, Meta or any other third-party platform. It installs no cookies and stores no information on your device. From your browser it checks the screen size, the language, the “Do Not Track” signal and an exclusion flag that exists only if whoever administers the website has created it on their own computer; from the page you are viewing it takes the path, the title and the referring site, without the address parameters. With this it obtains aggregated statistics: pages viewed, origin, device type, screen size, operating system, browser, browser language and approximate country, region and city, and it counts clicks on the booking buttons in the Resources section. Your IP address is not stored: it is used only at that moment to calculate a visit code that changes every day and to infer that location. It does not collect what you type into forms or into the chat. If your browser sends the “Do Not Track” signal, nothing is measured. The data are kept for 14 months and are not linked to any record; only the first-party counter can link a visit to a record, as the privacy policy explains. This tool does not require your consent because it meets the conditions of the AEPD Guide on audience measurement (art. 22.2 LSSI-CE): purely statistical purpose on behalf of the firm, no disclosure of data, no cross-referencing with other data and no tracking across websites. The details are in the privacy policy.
In addition to the analytics described above, only strictly necessary technical cookies and technologies are used, exempt from the duty to obtain prior consent under article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you request:
| Purpose | Technology, type and duration |
|---|---|
| Maintaining the session in the restricted-access private area | First-party session cookie: deleted when the browser is closed |
| Remembering the light or dark mode chosen | Not a cookie: browser local storage (localStorage), first-party and persistent until you clear the site's data |
| Allowing the site to be installed as an app and to work offline | Not a cookie: service worker cache, first-party, holding pages and files you have already visited; no personal data |
| Keeping the conversation with the chat assistant open and not repeating its prompts | Not a cookie: browser session storage (sessionStorage), first-party: an anonymous session identifier assigned by the server, the number of prompts shown and whether you have closed them; deleted when the tab is closed |
| Keeping the language chosen on the booking page | Not a cookie: browser session storage (sessionStorage), first-party; deleted when the tab is closed |
The site does not store any language preference between visits: the language is
chosen by browsing to the corresponding version (for example, /ca/ or
/en/). Only the booking page remembers the language while the tab is open (see the
table).
Anti-spam on the booking form, the contact form and the chat assistant. When the protection against
automated submissions is active, a Cloudflare script is loaded ("Turnstile",
challenges.cloudflare.com) that checks whether whoever is booking, writing in the contact form or writing in the
chat is a person. This is a third party's technology (Cloudflare, Inc.), but for a purely security
and anti-fraud purpose, so it is likewise considered exempt from consent under article 22.2 of the
LSSI-CE, just like a conventional captcha.
The payment process takes place in the environment of the bank or payment institution, which applies its own cookie policy.
3. How to control them
You can view, block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Local storage and the app cache are cleared the same way (session storage is cleared simply by closing the tab), or by clearing the site's browsing data, or by uninstalling the app if you installed it on your device. Please note that blocking these technologies may prevent access to the private areas, may lose your theme preference or may stop the site working offline.
If non-exempt cookies were to be added in future, your consent would be sought by means of a prior notice before installing them and they would be detailed on this page.
